At a time when our nation is under threat from within and out, from low intensity conflicts and terrorist attacks, uniformed forces represent not just the form of protection and defence to our way of life and democracy, but also represent the ideals on which this country was built - of commitment to nation and nation first.

The unending conflicts in the Indian Subcontinent have resulted in casualties both Civilian and Military. Bravery and the sacrifices made by our Defence personnel go largely unrecognized and appreciated by the country.

The Flags of Honour Foundation is an endeavour to be a platform and a bridge between the citizens who seek to help, and the martyr's families. We as citizens have often felt the need and a humble intention to support the martyr's family in some way. And this Noble foundation provides us this great platform. The Foundation will identify the need and requirements of these families and effectively route financial, social, and material support.

The Foundation will expand to have a Pan India presence. It will Affiliate with other Foundations across the country to enhance reach.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, a successful entrepreneur, Member of Parliament and the Chairman of the National Military Memorial Committee, Bengaluru, has set out to uphold the pride and honour of India's Heroes - our Military personnel, whose sacrifices would never go unappreciated or unrewarded. From that sincere and honest wish, the Flags of Honour Foundation was born. This Foundation hopes to ensure that the families of the martyrs must never endure alone, and attempts to be the beacon of hope and inspiration for all of us to join hands in saluting our heroes through their family.

The Foundation will endeavour to keep the memory of the fallen Heroes alive to inspire future generations. It will identify the need and requirements of the families and effectively route financial, social, and material support. A Trust is being formed with 80G IT exemption and leading Corporate Houses, High net worth Individuals and concerned citizens would be encouraged to contribute financially or in kind.
